Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead the architecture and governance of enterprise platforms, with a strong emphasis on ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM. This senior role requires coordinating across IT teams, driving platform improvements, and ensuring scalable, secure solutions for mission-critical operations.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement in New York City with 2 telework days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Certifications in platform/domain skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical owner for enterprise platforms including architecture, configuration, and long-term strategy.
• Lead platform upgrades, new module rollouts, and performance optimization.
• Oversee integrations with third-party systems via Integration Hub and APIs.
• Define and enforce platform governance, data models, naming conventions, and development standards.
• Provide technical mentoring and drive adoption of modern engineering practices.
