Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer to architect, design, and implement scalable ITSM/ITOM solutions, including CMDB strategy, Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with enterprise systems. The role is hybrid with in-office work 3 days per week in the United States.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and stay current with ServiceNow releases to optimize capabilities across ITSM and ITOM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience focused on ServiceNow platform engineering and architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in ITSM including core process design, automation, and reporting.
• Proven expertise in ITOM with Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, and CMDB design aligned to CSDM.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) and Glide APIs.
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub for orchestration and automation.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and other capabilities.
• Serve as a technical lead for ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
• Lead ITOM implementations with Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, and health modeling, aligned to CSDM.
• Own CMDB strategy, data model design, discovery patterns, data quality, and lifecycle governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design workflows, and deliver ITSM/ITOM enhancements, automations, and integrations.
• Mentor engineers and developers, promoting technical excellence and stability.
• Establish platform governance, patterns, and best practices across ITSM/ITOM.
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
