Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a hands-on ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our team in the United States. You will own the layer where monitoring signals become actions, building and tuning Event Management, connectors, rules, and automation while moving event classes toward automation with audit-ready evidence. You will broaden into ITOM, CSDM, and agentic operations.

You will write and review production code, and your work will operate on production systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ServiceNow development including workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, and integrations.
• Experience with Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, the Glide API, and Python or similar data transformation language.
• Experience integrating monitoring or third-party systems via REST or SOAP APIs and CMDB/CSDM knowledge.
• Automation design with safety, approvals, verification, and rollback.
• Root-cause analysis of detection gaps and bad alerts; trace from source to record.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or Information Systems and ServiceNow CSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Build and tune ServiceNow Event Management, including connectors, event rules, correlation and grouping logic, and alert-to-incident automation.
• Normalize severity and event fields across monitoring sources for a single ITIL-aligned scale.
• Engineer entity-to-CI binding, work with CMDB owners on reconciliation and CSDM alignment.
• Develop automated remediation with bounded blast radius, approvals, verification, rollback and evidence trails.
• Integrate monitoring platforms with ServiceNow via REST, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer; maintain stability across upgrades.
• Move event classes from manual to automated one at a time, with evidence for audit readiness.
