Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager to steer enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The role combines hands-on platform work with engineering leadership, governance, and stakeholder collaboration in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate will guide custom app development, Service Portal experiences, dashboards, and data-management processes while establishing standards and mentoring distributed teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish the technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards for the ServiceNow platform.
• Lead design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications and services.
• Provide technical direction for platform components such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, ACLs, UI Policies, workflows, integrations, and data structures.
• Coordinate platform upgrades, releases, enhancements, and production deployments across teams.
• Mentor engineers, coordinate work across multiple teams, and promote automated testing and quality practices.
