Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow developer to design, build, and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira. The role requires a CAD certification and experience on the Now Platform to create a scalable, secure connector that synchronizes incidents, changes, and other work items.

This fully remote position within the United States offers core hours 8 AM–5 PM ET and opportunities to work with government stakeholders, Product Owners, and Scrum teams on enterprise-grade

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/CS/related field; 15+ years experience, or 10 extra years in lieu of education.
• 5+ years development experience.
• 2+ years with ServiceNow and the Now Platform ITSM/App Engine/Integration Hub.
• Experience designing scalable, secure enterprise integrations.
• Experience with unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Proficiency in Jira and GitHub; CAD certification highly preferred.
• Strong JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub skills.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and cross-platform mapping.
• Able to obtain Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira.
• Develop and expand custom ServiceNow applications on the Now Platform.
• Connect front/back-end components across a blended tech stack and legacy systems.
• Deliver lightweight back-end services and frontend web capabilities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues.
• Drive innovation in technologies, processes, and tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams on requirements and tasks.
• Interface with stakeholders to support product ownership.
• Use unit/integration testing to ensure defect-free systems.
