Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow developer to design and deploy a bi-directional integration with Jira. You will build custom applications on the Now Platform and connect front-end and back-end components across a blended tech stack.

You will work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams to decompose requirements, implement tests, and ensure security/governance compliance. This is a fully remote US position with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related field.
• 15+ years of work experience; 10 years may substitute for education.
• 5+ years of development experience.
• 2+ years in ServiceNow and the Now Platform (ITSM, App Engine and/or Integration Hub).
• Ability to design and document system strategies for platforms, apps and networks.
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Proficient with Jira and GitHub.
• ServiceNow CAD certification and hands-on experience building custom applications.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and cross-platform data mapping.
• Familiarity with Jira project structure and workflows.
• Ability to design scalable integration architectures meeting security/SDLC standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira.
• Develop, maintain and expand custom ServiceNow applications on the Now Platform.
• Develop front and back-end components and interconnect with legacy systems.
• Rapidly deliver lightweight back-end services and front-end web stack.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues.
• Promote innovation in technologies, processes, and tools.
• Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams on requirements and user stories.
• Interface with stakeholders and management for project support.
• Use unit and integration tests to ensure defect-free systems.
