Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow developer to design and deploy a bidirectional integration between ServiceNow and Jira. You will expand custom Now Platform applications, connect to legacy systems, and deliver scalable, secure services across front-end and back-end components.

The role emphasizes working with Product Owners and Scrum teams, testing, and ensuring enterprise-grade security and SDLC compliance, while operating remotely within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of development experience.
• 2+ years with ServiceNow and the Now Platform ITSM/App Engine/Integration Hub.
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Strong JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub skills.
• Proficient with Jira and GitHub for issue tracking and code hosting.
• ServiceNow CAD certification and hands-on custom app development on the Now Platform.
• Ability to design scalable integration architectures meeting security and SDLC standards.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and cross-platform data mapping.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira.
• Develop and expand custom ServiceNow applications on the Now Platform.
• Connect ServiceNow features to legacy systems and modern web stacks.
• Deliver lightweight back-end services and front-end web interfaces.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues.
• Promote new technologies, processes, and tools within the team.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams on requirements and user stories.
• Interface with stakeholders to support the Product Owner.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure defect-free systems.
• Coordinate with internal and Government personnel.
