Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow developer to design and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira. You will build custom ServiceNow apps on the Now Platform, connect front-end and back-end components, and ensure secure, scalable data exchanges across systems.

The role requires CAD certification, 5 years of dev experience and strong JS/Flow Designer skills; remote within the United States with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related field; 15 years of work exp, 10 years may substitute education.
• 5 years of development experience.
• 2 years in ServiceNow and the Now Platform (ITSM, App Engine, Integration Hub).
• Design, discuss, and document system strategies for platforms, apps, and networks.
• Experience writing unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Proficient with Jira and GitHub.
• ServiceNow CAD certification and hands-on app development on Now Platform.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and cross-platform data mapping.
• Familiarity with Jira project structures and service accounts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira.
• Develop and expand custom ServiceNow applications on the Now Platform.
• Develop front and back-end components in a blended tech stack and integrate with legacy systems.
• Deliver lightweight back-end services and front-end web components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues.
• Promote innovations in technologies, processes, and tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Teams on requirements and tasks.
• Interface with internal and Government managers.
