Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer for a remote US-based role focused on federal government modernization. You will lead discovery, service design, and cross-functional collaborations with product, engineering, data, and research teams to deliver measurable improvements in public services.

Responsibilities include guiding complex engagements, translating research into actionable strategies, and applying systems thinking to holistic design challenges.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX design, user research, or related discipline.
• Strong command of service design methods, research/discovery techniques, and systems thinking.
• Proven ability to translate research into actionable service improvements.
• Experience leading complex service design engagements in a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to influence client decisions and communicate research findings to senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled approaches to improve productivity or outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs, processes, and tech ecosystems.
• Map relationships across people, processes, and technology for holistic design.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and research teams to implement solutions.
• Build trusted client relationships and defend service design recommendations.
• Identify risks and ensure quality aligned with program objectives.
• Explore responsible AI tools to accelerate discovery and improve outcomes.
