Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, and startup fire, security, and building automation systems. You will train customers, support on-site projects, and work with a team to deliver quality, on-time results.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in electronic/security/building automation, blueprints literacy, and relevant certifications. Excellent customer service and a collaborative attitude are essential for growth with Convergint.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 5-7 years in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation.
• Certification in Genetec, Lenel, Softwarehouse, Avigilon, or other enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services systems and equipment including security, fire alarm and building automation.
• Interprets blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation needs.
• Operates and tests systems, writes programs, and performs start-up and certification tasks.
• Mentors less experienced staff and coordinates with project teams and subcontractors.
• Ensures safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across projects.
