Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up and certify fire, security and building automation systems. You will train customers, work closely with project teams, and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery on diverse projects. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of relevant experience and strong blueprint reading, electrical/mechanical skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience with security, fire alarm, or building automation systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and interpret diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, start-up, certify systems and train customers.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and coordinate with project team.
• Conduct site-specific testing, debugging and system optimization.
• Ensure safety, quality and on-time project delivery.
