Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (IC5) for the Detection & Response team. You will drive incident response strategy, build an AI-native detection platform, and shape a scalable security operations framework across multiple teams and environments.

This role requires 5+ years in security operations with deep cloud and Kubernetes expertise, strong code reasoning, and a track record of leading high-stakes incident responses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Detection & Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proven Command Presence with decisive leadership and executive communication.
• Deep Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise focused on Kubernetes.
• Ability to read, analyze, and reason through multi-language codebases.
• Experience designing and operating scalable detection pipelines and AI-enabled security workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead Incident Response: command security incident response workstreams and communicate with leadership.
• Elevate Detection Rigor: maintain global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Drive Strategic Innovation: architect ASO roadmap and integrate AI agents for automation.
• Code & Architecture Analysis: read and reason through code to identify security vulnerabilities.
• On-Call Support: participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
