Robinhood in Denver, CO seeks a Senior Security Engineer (IC5) on the Detection & Response team to drive incident response strategy and build AI-native detection capabilities, partnering with Proactive Security, Security Engineering, Insider Trust, Infrastructure, Legal, and Communications.

This in-person role requires 5+ years in IR/SecOps, deep cloud/Kubernetes expertise, ability to read multi-language code, and hands-on AI security workflows; includes on-call rotation and office-based

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Detection & Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proven command presence leading complex incident responses under pressure.
• Deep cloud and Kubernetes expertise.
• Ability to read, analyze, and reason through multi-language code.
• Experience designing and operating scalable detection pipelines and AI-enabled security workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead Incident Response: direct security incident responses with decisive leadership.
• Elevate Detection Rigor: build and tune global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Drive Strategic Innovation: roadmap ASO with AI agents and automated issue discovery.
• Code & Architecture Analysis: analyze complex code bases to identify vulnerabilities and guide remediation.
• On-Call Support: participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
