Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (IC5) to lead incident response and build AI-native detection platforms. You will work with SecOps, Security Engineering, and Legal to protect a large-scale fintech ecosystem.

The role requires strong cloud security, Kubernetes expertise, and the ability to reason through complex code across languages. In-person work is expected at multiple offices with 3 days/week on-site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Detection & Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proven command presence leading complex incident responses under pressure with clear, action-oriented executive communication.
• Deep cloud & infrastructure expertise focusing on Kubernetes.
• Ability to fluently read, analyze, and reason through code across multiple programming languages.
• Detection engineering mastery with scalable pipelines and SOAR playbooks, plus AI-enabled security.
• Hands-on experience designing agentic AI workflows for security operations.
• Agility to thrive in high-growth, evolving threat environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Incident Response: command security incident response workstreams with decisive leadership and rapid containment.
• Elevate Detection Rigor: build and maintain global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Drive Strategic Innovation: architect Autonomic Security Operations roadmap with AI agents and automation.
• Code & Architecture Analysis: read and reason through multi-language code to identify vulnerabilities and guide remediation.
• On-Call Support: participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1 week per rotation).
