Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to drive incident response strategy and build robust detection engineering frameworks. You will lead high-stress responses, reduce noise with an AI-native detection platform, and help shape the broader AI-agentic SecOps ecosystem.

Collaboration with Proactive Security, Security Engineering, Insider Trust, Infrastructure, Legal, and Communications is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Detection & Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
Proven command presence leading complex incident responses under pressure.
Deep cloud and infrastructure security exposure, with focus on Kubernetes.
Ability to read, analyze, and reason through code across multiple languages to solve security challenges.
Track record designing, tuning, and operating scalable detection pipelines and SOAR playbooks; leveraging AI tech.

Responsibilities

Lead incident response workstreams with decisive leadership and clear executive communication.
Build, tune, and maintain a global detection catalog across cloud environments and Kubernetes.
Architect ASO roadmap, integrating AI agents and automated issue discovery.
Read and analyze multi-language code to identify security vulnerabilities and guide remediation.
Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain real-time operational readiness.
