Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up and certify Fire, Security, and Building Automation systems on projects of varying size and complexity. You will train customers, provide technical support, and act as the primary on-site interface to ensure safety, quality and on-time completion while upholding Convergint’s values.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and servicing security, fire alarm, or building automation systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for installation requirements.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to mentor less-experienced staff on site.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a substantial variety of systems and equipment.
• Reads complex blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine installation needs and repairs.
• Operates systems to commission new installations and train customers on operation.
• Mentors less-experienced staff and supports project coordination on site.
