Job summary

Convergint is hiring a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up/check-out, certify, and train customers on fire, security, and building automation projects. You will be the technical interface and help ensure customer satisfaction while meeting budget and schedule targets. Mentoring of junior staff may occur.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong technical skills related to building automation, fire alarm, and electronic security systems.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude with ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire, and building automation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine installation requirements.
• Operate and commission systems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and document performance.
• Provide customer training and act as the primary technical interface for the customer.
