Job description

This position is the first point of contact for current and prospective students and a resource for faculty members. The position maintains data collection systems for tracking student information, progress, and programs.

Position responsibilities would prefer a candidate with the following skills:

THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA : The University of South Dakota is a comprehensive; liberal arts based state institution with an enrollment over 10,000 students. Basic and professional programs are available in the School of Education, School of Business, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, College of Fine Arts, and the College of Arts and Sciences.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION : The School of Education is organized into four basic Divisions: Teacher Residency & Education: Educational Leadership; Counseling and Psychology in Education; and Kinesiology & Sport Management. Graduate work is available through the doctorate in several program areas. The Education unit is accredited/approved by CAEP .

The School of Education Center for Student and Professional Services ( CSPS ) offers candidates an energetic and creative environment to assist students throughout their degree program. In addition to academic advising, the CSPS’s staff recruit prospective students in conjunction with USD Admissions, assist students with information and resources for Praxis testing, and provide placement and certification services. The Center is located in Delzell School of Education and serves as a resource for faculty and staff and K‑12 partner districts.
