Job summary

AeroVironment in Herndon, VA seeks an experienced SEC Financial Reporting Manager to own the preparation, review, and coordination of the company’s external financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with U.S.

GAAP and SEC regulations while collaborating with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and auditors. The position drives accurate disclosures, supports earnings materials and board reporting, and leads process improvements to reduce cycle times and strengthen

Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
• Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance experience including SEC reporting
• Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with internal controls over financial reporting (SOX)
• Experience with Oracle Fusion and ERP reporting tools and Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate the quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Own the consolidation of financial information and supporting schedules for SEC reporting
• Prepare and review tie-outs, disclosure checklists, and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Monitor and implement new U.S. GAAP, SEC, regulatory requirements; update policies as needed
• Support materials for earnings releases, investor presentations, and board reporting
• Research and document technical accounting matters
• Operate and document internal controls execution
