Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking an experienced SEC Financial Reporting Manager to lead external reporting, coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.

The role collaborates with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and segment finance teams. Responsibilities include consolidations, disclosures, earnings materials support, and continuous process improvements to shorten close cycles while maintaining high quality and

Qualifications

• CPA, Bachelor's in Accounting, and at least 10 years of accounting/finance experience with SEC reporting.
• Experience preparing/reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Experience with SOX controls and ERP reporting tools (Oracle Fusion/EBS) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings.
• Own consolidation of financial information and supporting schedules for SEC reporting.
• Prepare tie-outs, disclosure checklists, and supporting docs for accuracy.
• Monitor new U.S. GAAP/SEC requirements; update policies as needed.
• Support earnings releases, investor relations materials, and board reports.
• Research and document technical accounting matters.
• Operate and document internal controls execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to speed close and improve quality.
• Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and FP&A to optimize ERP/Consolidation tools.
