Job summary

HawkEye 360 in Herndon, VA, seeks a Manager of External Financial Reporting to lead preparation and review of SEC filings, consolidate financial statements, and strengthen internal controls.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, use Workiva for single-source reporting, and support audits, consolidations, and technical accounting matters.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting, a CPA, 6+ years of SEC reporting experience, and strong GAAP, SOX, and XBRL expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA required.
• 6+ years of accounting and SEC reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, consolidations, and SOX.
• Experience with financial statement prep and XBRL tagging.
• Proficiency with Workiva and ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Maintain processes to ensure filings are accurate, complete, and compliant.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate disclosures.
• Utilize Workiva to ensure data accuracy originates from a single source.
• Assist quarterly reviews and annual audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Research technical accounting matters and draft memos; support new standards.
• Support consolidation activities including intercompany eliminations.
• Assist with SOX compliance and process improvements.
