Job summary

Summit Line Construction is a Quanta Services company seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling for complex utility construction projects. You will work with project management, field operations, and clients to build, maintain, and analyze schedules from pre-construction through closeout.

The role requires deep hands-on scheduling knowledge, especially for high-voltage transmission and renewable energy projects, with a focus on accuracy, baseline control, and proactive risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of scheduling experience in electrical utility construction, heavy civil, or power delivery infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience scheduling transmission line, substation, or distribution construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 EPPM in a cloud-hosted environment and ability to build baselines and reports.
• Working knowledge of CPM, resource loading, schedule compression, and earned value fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications to validate logic.
• Strong written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 3 and Level 4 CPM schedules for transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable energy projects using Primavera P6.
• Build project schedules from pre-construction through closeout, incorporating procurement lead times, permitting milestones, ROW constraints, crew mobilization, and outage requirements.
• Establish and maintain schedule baselines with project managers and owners; document scope, logic, and constraints.
• Perform schedule updates from field data and inputs; develop look-ahead schedules (2–8 weeks) to support field planning.
• Conduct critical path, float, and variance analyses; prepare narrative reports for internal review and owners/engineers.
• Support delay claims with fragnet logic and contemporaneous schedule analysis; maintain as-built records.
