Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling for complex utility construction projects in the Western U.S. The role collaborates with project management, field operations, and clients to build, maintain, and analyze schedules from pre-construction to closeout.

The Senior Scheduler will develop Look-Ahead schedules, perform critical path analyses, and support delay claims.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years scheduling experience in electrical utility construction.
• Experience scheduling transmission line, substation, or distribution projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 EPPM (cloud-hosted).
• Knowledge of CPM, resource loading, schedule compression, and earned value basics.
• Ability to write clear, defendable schedule narratives for owner submittals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 3/4 CPM schedules using Primavera P6 for transmission, distribution, substation, and renewables.
• Create ground-up schedules with procurement, permitting, ROW, and mobilization milestones.
• Maintain schedule baselines, perform updates, and develop look-aheads (2/4/8 weeks).
• Conduct critical path, float, and schedule variance analyses; prepare narrative reports and TIAs.
• Support delay claims and REA with fragnet logic and contemporaneous analysis; maintain as-built records.
• Coordinate with procurement and cost control for EVM reporting; assist in owner meetings and negotiations.
