Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Senior Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling for complex utility projects from pre-construction through closeout. You’ll collaborate with project management, field operations, and clients to build and analyze schedules that reflect real-world constraints.

This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of how utility work is built, not just planned on paper.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of scheduling experience in electrical utility construction
• Experience scheduling transmission line, substation, or distribution construction projects
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 EPPM in a cloud-hosted environment
• Strong written communication skills; capable of producing schedule narratives for owner submittal
• Proficiency in Excel for schedule data manipulation and reporting

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 3 and 4 CPM schedules using Primavera P6
• Build project schedules from pre-construction, incorporate procurement lead times and constraints
• Establish and maintain schedule baselines with project manager and owner
• Perform schedule updates from field reports and logs
• Develop look‑ahead schedules (2, 4, 8 weeks) for field planning
• Perform critical path and schedule variance analyses and prepare narrative reports
• Support delay claims and time impact analyses; maintain as‑built records
• Coordinate schedule data with cost control for EVM reporting
• Represent Summit Line in schedule negotiations with owners and engineers
