Job summary

Summit Line Construction is seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling for complex utility projects across the Western United States. You will work with project management, field operations, and clients to build, maintain, and analyze schedules from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring baselines and progress reporting meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of scheduling experience in electrical utility construction or related fields.
• Experience scheduling transmission line, substation, or distribution projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; ability to build baselines and generate custom reports.
• Strong written communication for schedule narratives suitable for owner submittal.
• Familiarity with EVM concepts (CPI/SPI) and schedule risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 3/4 CPM schedules for transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable energy projects using Primavera P6.
• Create ground-up schedules with procurement lead times, permitting milestones, ROW constraints, crew mobilization, and outage requirements.
• Establish and maintain baseline, document scope, logic, and constraints with project manager/owner.
• Perform schedule updates from field reports and foreman input; develop look-ahead schedules (2,4,8 weeks).
• Conduct critical path analysis, schedule variance, and TIAs; support delay claims and recovery planning.
