Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with power generation SCADA and power plant control systems.
• Experience delivering BESS focused SCADA and controls integration through commissioning and turnover.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Up to 25 % travel required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Own SCADA and controls integration approach for BESS projects from concept to commissioning.
• Define control and data interfaces between BESS subsystems and site SCADA and related systems.
• Lead vendor submittal reviews: architecture, mappings, cybersecurity, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues during construction and commissioning.
• Provide SCADA support for solar and wind technologies as needed.
• Support hybrid PV/BESS integration for standalone or co-located sites.
• Develop specs for EMS, BMS, SCADA, and related networks.
• Define telecom and field communications requirements for projects.
• Assist bid evaluations with SCADA requirements and vendor language.
• Support ESA negotiations as technical interface with suppliers.
• Witness FAT for hardware and software.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on SCADA deliverables.
• Track design schedules, report risks, and meet critical dates.
• Provide on-site programming and field support during commissioning.
• Support energizing, commissioning, and turnover with adherence to NERC.
• Coordinate with independent engineers for due diligence in SCADA scope.
• Support CHIL testing and establish Invenergy CHIL lab.
• Mentor engineers and drive standards and playbooks.
• Maintain knowledge through training and conferences.
