Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a senior SCADA Design Engineer to lead the in-house design of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.

You will work with AutoCAD, Visio, and related tools to produce comprehensive designs and enforce SOLV standards. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with the OT team, and drive design quality, documentation, and commissioning readiness across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering preferred.
• Industrial or utility-scale PV, BESS or wind experience desired.
• Direct experience drafting SCADA, networking, electrical, and substation drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Layer 2/3 networking.
• Experience with SCADA networks using Fiber Optics, RS-232/RS-485, and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of power plant operating procedures and regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA design workstreams for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop drawings in AutoCAD and Visio; document standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with customers, OT teams, and field personnel for commissioning and handoff.
