Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a SCADA and Automation Engineer - Technical Director in Boise, ID, with responsibilities spanning design, commissioning, and leadership across transmission, distribution, and renewable systems. You will guide teams, manage client relationships, and advance projects from concept to commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in SCADA for power, an engineering license, and strong communication skills to articulate complex issues to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
12+ years of relevant post-education experience in SCADA/automation for power systems.
Engineer license (or equivalent).
Ability to lead projects and mentor other engineers.
Strong communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

Lead projects focused on utility SCADA, automation, and protection systems.
Coordinate design plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
Develop data transfer schemes, HMIs, and communication networks for substations.
Mentor junior engineers and manage project priorities.
Support proposals and identify new business opportunities.
