Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced SCADA and Automation Engineer – Lead Professional for our Boise, Idaho office. You will provide technical leadership in the design, engineering, and commissioning of utility, industrial, and commercial power projects, with focus on ESSP.

This role involves leading data acquisition, networking, and control platforms, mentoring teams, and ensuring compliance with IEEE/IEC/NERC standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical design for power projects.
• Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of safety and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and commissioning of utility and industrial power projects.
• Develop and commission SCADA, protection, and control systems.
• Coordinate data transfer between control centers and field devices; develop HMIs.
• Specify and design communication networks for RTUs, IEDs, HMIs, and related equipment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within project teams.
