Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst – Electronics Packaging to own end-to-end structural analysis for satellite LRUs, avionics enclosures, and electronics assemblies. You will model, analyze, and certify hardware for launch, handling, test, and on-orbit environments, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, thermal, and manufacturing teams.

You will build FEA models using NASTRAN, ANSYS, or Abaqus, verify margins of safety, coordinate environments, and support qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of structural analysis experience in aerospace/space hardware.
• Experience analyzing avionics enclosures, LRUs, or similar hardware for vibration, shock, and thermal environments.
• Proficiency with FEA tools (NASTRAN/ANSYS/Abaqus) and classical methods.

Responsibilities

• Own structural analysis for TeraWave satellite LRUs, avionics enclosures, and electronic assemblies through qualification and production release.
• Build and maintain detailed FEA and simplified models; verify strength, stiffness, and load paths.
• Define environments, boundary conditions, and interfaces with design and test teams.
• Correlate models to test data and propose design/process improvements.
• Mentor junior analysts and drive analysis best practices.
