Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer with 7+ years of experience to translate nonprofit needs into Salesforce-based solutions. You will craft demos, respond to RFPs, and influence product teams through technical POVs, while leading discussions with leadership and individual contributors alike.

You’ll collaborate with sales, design compelling value demonstrations, and travel up to 20% to support client engagements.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector or software industry.
B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
Experience in nonprofit management/operations and/or Salesforce technology.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile company environment.
Effective time management and prioritization in a dynamic sales environment.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
Strong team-based problem solving, leadership, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Ability to lead discussions with organizational leaders and individual contributors alike.
Technical expertise in CRM, AI, Analytics, BI, Digital Marketing, or Community Engagement.
Affinity for nonprofit and mission-driven organizations.
Comfort articulating technical value through discovery and demos.
Background in nonprofit management/operations and/or Salesforce technology.
Ability to create and deliver customer-facing software demos.
Salesforce Administrator (201) and Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications.

Responsibilities

Discover and analyze customer goals, mapping them to the Salesforce solution portfolio
Earn the “technical win” through compelling demos and presentations
Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs
Research and develop technical Points of View aligned with industry knowledge
Design innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform
Present customized, story-driven demos tied to business value
Build and maintain relationships with the sales team and account contacts
Feed customer requirements back to product and engineering teams
Travel domestically up to 20%
