Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate role seeking a customer-focused individual to lead service at the register, stock displays, and maintain store cleanliness.

The position requires the ability to supervise in the Store Manager’s absence, manage cash, and support store profitability while protecting assets. Training and development opportunities are available within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and cashier accountability.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; build displays; follow planograms and rotate stock.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
