Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate role focused on customer-first service, cash handling, and stock replenishment across a fast-paced store environment.

You will greet customers, operate registers, process payments, and assist with merchandising displays while ensuring safety and accuracy in operations. The role may require opening/closing duties and coverage in the absence of managerial staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Proficient math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Experience with cash handling and cashier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and restock as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with curbside or sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
