Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate position involves maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support store leadership in daily operations.

The role also includes opening/closing the store under guidance and performing duties in the absence of the Store Manager, while protecting assets and enhancing profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases, collect payment, give change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays according to planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom, set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
