Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to be the face of our brand, highlight our image, and build our reputation for outstanding service. You will assist customers, identify needs, and guide them to products and services while leading a team of sales associates.

You will train and direct staff, stay current on merchandise, articulate our purpose professionally, and contribute to a mission-driven, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work.
• Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about promotions and events.
• Provide premier customer service and maintain store appearance.
• Cross-sell and upsell products; keep up with latest trends and product knowledge.
• Be the keeper of inventory; participate in periodic inventories.
