Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is seeking a Supervisory Sales Associate to lead store associates, engage customers, and drive sales in a fast-paced environment at Patuxent River, MD.

You’ll highlight the Navy Exchange brand, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage daily operating tasks, including inventory, scheduling, and performance coaching. The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Moderate product knowledge of merchandise.
• 1–2 years of retail or related experience.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and work within a team.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events and promotions.
• Maintain store appearance and organize products on the floor.
• Cross-sell and upsell products based on customer needs.
• Process sales using the POS system, handle cash, discounts and payments.
• Complete paperwork, reports and reconciliations as needed.
• Oversee inventory processes and ticketing; may participate in inventories.
• Provide leadership, training, and coaching to sales associates.
