Job summary

Eaton’s North American Sales Division is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its team in Pleasanton or Roseville, CA. The role covers Northern California and Reno and focuses on residential electrical solutions and energy transition offerings such as smart panels and EV charging infrastructure.

You will build relationships with contractors, channel partners, installers, and distributors, drive sales growth, and apply solution selling with cross-functional support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, channel sales, business development, account management, sales engineering, product management, or related commercial roles.
• Reside within 75 miles of Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA; no relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key single-family contractors and channel partners in the territory.
• Identify and activate high-potential installers and distribution partners.
• Support and grow existing installers and channel partners; increase engagement and sales performance.
• Execute territory sales plans and business development strategies to meet sales objectives.
• Conduct customer visits, trade shows, and training programs to strengthen relationships and drive demand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product lines and operations for customer-centric solutions.
• Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence to inform decisions.
• Provide planning, quotations, and technical support to customers.
