Job summary

Dataminr is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to act as the technical expert guiding CISOs, SOC teams, and threat-intel analysts. You will lead discovery, demos, and proofs of value, partnering with Account Executives and the Product team.

This remote role serves candidates in the North Eastern US, with a focus on modernizing SOC workflows and delivering integrated security solutions. You’ll design and deliver tailored demos, build API integrations using Python, and translate complex security

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing Sales Engineering or similar role.
• 7+ years cybersecurity experience in SOC, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Security Automation.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, adversary TTPs, incident response, and risk management.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP, vulnerability management, and cloud security technologies.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, APIs, or similar technologies for integrations and automation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, from practitioner to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical sales process with enterprise customers through architecture discussions and POVs.
• Deliver tailored demos and POV workshops to prove AI-driven cybersecurity products’ value.
• Advise on modernizing SOC workflows, threat intelligence, incident response, and security automation.
• Design integrated security ecosystems and build custom workflows or API integrations using Python.
• Translate complex enterprise challenges into automated solution designs that deliver business value.
• Stay ahead of threats and competitors to position the platform as a market leader.
