Job summary

Dataminr is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to serve as the technical expert guiding CISOs, SOC teams, and threat-intel analysts through architecture discussions, demos, and proofs of value. You will collaborate with Account Executives and our Product team to win deals and shape security solutions.

You’ll design integrated security ecosystems, build API integrations using Python, and translate complex enterprise challenges into scalable, automated deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing Sales Engineering or technical consulting role.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Security Automation (certifications a plus).
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, adversary TTPs, incident response, and risk management.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP, vulnerability management, and cloud security technologies.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, APIs, or similar tech for integrations and automation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for practitioner to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical sales process with enterprise customers through deep architecture discussions, evaluations, and strategic decisions to close major deals.
• Deliver tailored demos and POV workshops showing how AI-driven cybersecurity products solve real-world problems.
• Act as the go-to expert on modernizing SOC workflows, threat intelligence, incident response, and security automation.
• Design integrated security ecosystems and build custom workflows or API integrations using Python.
• Translate complex enterprise security challenges into sleek, automated solution designs that deliver business value.
• Stay ahead of threats and market rivals to position the platform as a leader while maximizing earnings.
