Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the firm-wide health and safety program across locations, ensuring compliance and practical risk controls.

You will advise leadership, coordinate with Site Safety Coordinators nationwide, and drive training, audits, and incident investigations to reduce risk. The role requires strong OSHA knowledge and multi-site experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive occupational health and safety experience, preferably with multi-site responsibility.
• Experience advising leaders and helping the business make practical safety decisions.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, industrial, construction, manufacturing, environmental, laboratory, or field-services environments preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Must be competent in General Safety, Chemical Hazards/SDS, Electrical Hazards, Fall Protection, HAZWOPER, Medical Hazards, First Aid/CPR, Machine guarding/Lockout/Tagout, PPE/Respirators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm-wide safety program across all locations.
• Provide safety leadership while balancing compliance, risk, client expectations, and business needs.
• Serve as the main contact for safety questions with leadership and project teams.
• Coach Site Safety Coordinators nationwide on safety practices.
• Review and update safety practices to fit work and client needs.
• Develop safety orientation and ongoing training by role and risk.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance and improvements.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting is completed.
• Support the safety committee with technical and administrative tasks.
• Identify corrective actions to prevent incidents and strengthen controls.
