Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the firm’s health and safety program across locations. You will ensure compliance, guide corrective actions, and strengthen safety practices through audits, training, and incident reviews.

You will partner with senior leadership, oversee OSHA activities, and develop safety plans tailored to project risks while balancing client expectations and business needs. Travel 30–50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive occupational health and safety experience, preferably multi-site.
• Experience advising leaders and helping the business make practical safety decisions.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, industrial, construction, manufacturing, environmental, laboratory, forensic, or field-services environments preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety training path for the firm and provide direction to leadership.
• Balance compliance, risk, client expectations, and business realities.
• Serve as main point of contact for safety questions across projects.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Site Safety Coordinators nationwide.
• Develop and implement safety practices and training based on roles and risks.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting is completed.
