Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a Safety Manager in Ann Arbor, MI to lead the company’s health and safety program across locations.

You will partner with Senior Leadership and Site Safety Coordinators to maintain compliance, drive practical safety improvements, and support client and regulatory requirements. The role requires extensive OSHA knowledge, multi-site experience, and the ability to balance safety with business needs, including training, audits, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or related field is required.
• Certifications/designations in area of expertise are expected.

Responsibilities

• Build a practical, sustainable safety training path for the firm.
• Provide safety leadership balancing compliance, risk, client expectations, and business needs.
• Serve as main contact for safety questions for leadership and project teams.
• Coach Site Safety Coordinators across the country.
• Develop and implement safety practices, orientation, and ongoing training.
• Conduct inspections/audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance and reporting.
