Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Regional EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across its Michigan facilities. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership on the factory floor, active risk reduction, and standardization of EHS systems to support our ESOP-driven culture.

You will drive continuous improvement, investigate serious incidents, and build leadership capability while ensuring adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of EHS leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience leading multiple facilities or large multi-site operations.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/501 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS strategy and performance for multiple facilities.
• Spend a minimum of 60% of time on the manufacturing floor coaching employees and identifying hazards.
• Standardize EHS programs, audits, and management systems across facilities.
• Lead investigations of injuries and incidents using Root Cause Analysis.
• Drive SIF prevention programs and risk elimination strategies.
• Conduct audits, leadership reviews, and regulatory compliance evaluations.
• Develop and mentor site EHS staff and safety committees.
