Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Release Train Engineer (RTE) to serve as a servant leader, facilitator, and coach for a complex Agile Release Train (ART). You will enable SAFe alignment, drive program execution, and foster continuous improvement across multiple teams and value streams.

This remote role requires strong collaboration with business and technology leaders, advanced Agile knowledge, and experience guiding large-scale transformations. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• 7+ years of related experience including 5+ years in Agile leadership roles (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, RTE).
• Extensive SAFe experience delivering large-scale programs with value streams.
• Current SAFe RTE/SPC or comparable certification.
• Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean-Agile principles.
• Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ART events (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt).
• Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Lean-Agile practices.
• Partner with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and impediments across teams.
• Drive continuous improvement via Inspect & Adapt and improvement initiatives.
• Promote collaboration among architects, engineering, and business stakeholders.
