Job summary

Merck is seeking a Senior Territory Representative to drive animal health product sales within assigned accounts in the United States. You will work with customers to understand practice needs and develop plans with cross-functional teams to grow sales.

Qualified candidates have 3 years of account management experience, ruminant industry familiarity, and strong communication skills. Remote work is available with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10+ years of sales experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
• Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets with decision makers to understand practice structure and identify opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth of Animal Health products and services.
• Collaborate with National/Corporate teams to maintain focus on accounts and drive sales growth.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
