Job summary

Merck Animal Health is seeking a Senior Territory Representative to join our field sales team in the United States. You will identify customer needs, tailor discussions, and drive sales of Animal Health products while coordinating pull-through activities aligned with our strategy.

In this role you'll develop territory and account plans, collaborate with distribution channels, and work with leadership to deliver relevant offerings.

Qualifications

• 3 years of account management experience
• Experience within the Ruminant Industry
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to use an iPad
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with key personnel/decision makers to understand practice structure and identify opportunities
• Develop customer strategy and account plans; collaborate with partners to drive sales growth
• Develop territory and specific account plans; coordinate with National Account Managers and Distribution Partners
• Work across species teams to enhance knowledge of the product portfolio
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget
• Identify programs to address customer needs and provide education & training to accounts
• Develop and deliver offerings with leadership and Field Technical Services
• Stay informed on animal health products, trends, and competitor landscape; share insights with stakeholders
