Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector to oversee Atlanta-area roadway and bridge projects. You will identify deficiencies, conduct daily site visits, and ensure materials and workmanship meet contract specifications.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, producing inspection reports for bridge work, and coordinating with QA firms. A strong safety ethic and ability to read complex plans are essential. Apply to join our field leadership team in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Civil Engineering or related field with multi-year roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Alternate qualifications include Associate degree with extensive field experience or HS diploma with long track record in inspection.
• Experience reading complex construction plans and reports (BFI, pile driving, drilled shafts).
• Valid US Driver's License and ability to pass MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Identify deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments to ensure contract compliance.
• Perform daily site visits to monitor materials, workmanship, and compliance with project specs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and review their work.
• Conduct specialized inspections and write reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities, including remediation and repair reviews.
• Monitor on-site construction activities and inspect materials per plans, specs, and provisions.
• Oversee sampling/testing and CQAP compliance for project materials.
