Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Inspector to oversee roadway and bridge contract compliance from Atlanta, GA. The role involves daily site visits, mentoring junior technicians, and producing technical reports for OV and QA activities.

Candidates should have civil engineering education or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of plans, specs, and safety practices, and a valid US driver’s license. Occasional night/holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with related inspection experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with related inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive roadway/bridge inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify deficiencies in roadway and bridge construction and communicate adjustments to meet contract specs.
• Conduct daily site visits to ensure materials/workmanship meet project specs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Provide specialized inspections and written reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities, including remediation and repair reviews.
• Monitor on-site construction activities and inspect materials per plans and specs.
• Oversee sampling/testing and QA in CQAP.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with Developer and IQF.
• Coordinate with IQF to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure materials certification for Final Acceptance.
