Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to assist with supervision of construction activities in the Atlanta area. You will review plans, inspect roadways and structures, and support material testing verifications and reporting.

The role requires progressive inspection experience and relevant civil engineering education, plus certifications within a stated timeframe. This position emphasizes safety and teamwork across contractors and QA staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field with 2 yrs roadway/bridge inspection exp.
• Associate degree with 5 yrs roadway/bridge inspection exp.
• HS diploma with 7 yrs roadway/bridge inspection exp.
• Pass GDOT Certifications within ~6 months (Group 1, WECS, Field Concrete Tech, Level 1a).
• Valid US Driver’s License and pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review construction plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for quality and specs compliance.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, drainage for project conformance.
• Observe material sampling and testing verification.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and QA teams.
• Document findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all activities.
