Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector to oversee roadway and bridge construction inspections in Atlanta, GA. The role requires field supervision, mentor guidance for junior staff, and strong adherence to project specifications.

The position involves QA reporting, SME duties for developer activities, and coordination with the IQF and other stakeholders. A valid US driver’s license and related certifications are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Alternate: Associate degree with 8 years in inspection.
• High school diploma with 15 years inspection experience.
• Experience in transportation construction inspection, including heavy civil, bridge and roadway projects.
• Thorough knowledge of specs, standards, materials and equipment used in highway and bridge projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments.
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress and adherence to specs.
• Provide mentorship and reviews to junior team members on QA.
• Prepare inspections and written reports for bridge and OV activities.
• Supervise technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities including remediation and repair reviews.
• Monitor on-site activities and inspect materials per plans and provisions.
• Oversee sampling/testing per CQAP and project schedule.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with Developer and IQF.
